If your phone can't find or connect to your BeaverPaw device:
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
- Ensure you are within 10 feet (3 meters) of the device
- Power cycle the BeaverPaw device by disconnecting and reconnecting the power wire
- On Android, ensure Location permissions are granted to the BeaverPaw app (required for BLE scanning)
- Try "Forget" the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pair through the BeaverPaw app
Not Receiving Notifications
Push notifications require:
- Notifications enabled for the BeaverPaw app in your phone settings
- The BeaverPaw device connected to WiFi
- An active internet connection on your phone
- Battery optimization disabled for the BeaverPaw app (Android)
Note: BLE-based alerts work without WiFi when your phone is within Bluetooth range.
False Alarms
If your alarm triggers unexpectedly, you can adjust the motion sensitivity in the BeaverPaw app under Device Settings > Sensitivity. Try lowering the sensitivity if your bike is parked in a high-wind area or on uneven ground. If false alarms persist, contact support with your device serial number and we can review your event logs.
Account Issues
For account access problems, password resets, or account deletion requests, email support@beaverpaw.com from the email address associated with your account. For account deletion, we will process your request within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.
Warranty & Returns
Warranty Claims
BeaverPaw hardware is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. To file a warranty claim:
- Email support@beaverpaw.com with the subject "Warranty Claim"
- Include your order number and device serial number
- Describe the issue in detail
- Attach photos of the device and any visible damage
We will review your claim within 3 business days. See our Terms of Service (Section 6) for full warranty details and exclusions.
Returns
Unused, undamaged products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Products that have been installed or modified are not eligible for return. To start a return, email support@beaverpaw.com with your order number. See our Terms of Service (Section 5) for full return policy details.
